Students and postdocs working on research with potential applications in manufacturing are invited to participate in the MIT Initiative for New Manufacturing (INM) Research Showcase & Prize Competition, held May 7, 2026, at MIT. The event is organized in collaboration with the NSF I-Corps New England Hub and is designed to support early-stage research with translational and commercialization potential.

The showcase provides an opportunity to present emerging technologies, connect with industry and ecosystem partners, and compete for non-dilutive translational funding.

Opportunity Highlights

  • Funding: Up to $50,000 in total prizes, with individual awards of up to $20,000 in non-dilutive funding
  • Exposure: Engage with industry representatives and innovation ecosystem partners
  • Broad Eligibility: Open to research related to manufacturing, including advanced materials, novel processes, AI/ML for design, space-based production, and related areas
