MIT Initiative for Manufacturing

Are you working on research that could redefine the future of manufacturing?
The MIT Initiative for New Manufacturing (INM) and the NSF I-Corps New England Hub are inviting New England-based students and postdocs to showcase their work at a premier Research Showcase & Prize Competition on May 7, 2026, held at MIT.
This event is not a traditional academic poster session or an investor pitch. It is a high-impact platform designed to help you transition early-stage research into a future commercial vision.
Why you should participate:
Significant Funding: Compete for a share of $50K in total prizes, with individual awards of up to $20K. This is 100% non-dilutive translational funding to help kickstart your technology.
Industry & Ecosystem Exposure: Get your work in front of people, industry and organizations that can help support you with your first steps in translating early-stage research from your lab to impact.
Broad Eligibility: We are looking for innovation in anything related to manufacturing. From advanced materials, novel processes, AI/ML for design, space-based production, and more. If your work impacts how things are designed or made, you are likely eligible.
