URI Innovations, part of the University of Rhode Island Research Foundation, and the RISE-UP Rhode Island program are pleased to announce that we are hiring a new Technology Transfer Fellow.
This paid fellowship opportunity is open to current URI graduate students and Ph.D. candidates interested in gaining hands-on experience in technology commercialization, entrepreneurship, and research translation.
The Technology Transfer Fellows Program supports the advancement of URI-developed innovations toward real-world impact. Fellows work alongside the URI Innovations team to evaluate new technologies, support startup development, strengthen innovation marketing efforts, and expand engagement across the campus and regional ecosystem.
This is a year-long, part-time role designed for students who are curious about how research moves from the lab into licensing, startups, partnerships, and deployment.
Fellows receive training and direct exposure to invention assessment, commercialization strategy, and innovation programming – while contributing meaningfully to URI’s growing innovation network.
