A new economic impact analysis estimates that the University of Rhode Island generates nearly $2 billion annually for the state’s economy, supporting close to 18,000 jobs and producing more than $135 million in tax revenue. The findings highlight the critical role of research, workforce development, and university–industry partnerships in driving regional growth.
